

Program Criteria Checklist
The hazelnut seal is intended to draw attention to the health benefits of hazelnut-containing foods, specifically heart health and, where appropriate, vitamin E content. The Hazelnut Council will be working to generate awareness of this seal. The seal will be available for use on whole/chopped hazelnuts, hazelnut-containing products, main dish and seal products that meet the criteria of the program.
Three varieties of the seal have been developed based on the vitamin E content of the food: no nutrient content claim, “Good Source of,” or “Excellent Source of” claims.
